Most of us think of power generation as coal-fired power plants, sun and wind power, even nuclear. Fuel also pays a part, either for direct generation or as a back-up generation. The towers that provide communication across the country often have emergency back-up power. Some industries use co-generation to help minimise their power costs, and to use waste materials as a power source. Waste oil is being treated so that it can be reused.
