FAQ
WE ARE HAPPY TO HELP
Do you have a problem with your fuel? Is your vehicle or equipment not performing as it should? Or, do you just want to get the best out of your fuel. Reach out to us, we are confident we can assist you.
BC-250 can be used to control a microbial contamination of fuel. To combat contaminated fuel, use at 1L per 1,000L of fuel. To protect your fuel, use at 1L per 2,000L of fuel.
To ensure thorough mixing, we recommend adding BC-250 to the tank and then adding fresh fuel. This has the bonus of treating all the internal tank surfaces.
FT-400 is a powerful treatment that enhances an protects your diesel fuel.
To clean up dirty systems
- Drain water from the tank.
- Add 10L of FT-400 for every 40,000L of diesel fuel (250ppm).
Protecting fresh diesel fuel
- Check the tank for the presence of water, and remove if found.
- Add 10L of FT-400 for every 90,000L of fuel (110ppm).
- Regular use will ensure that your fuel system is ‘bug’ free.
The “bugs” that contaminate diesel fuel are microscopic fungi, bacteria, and yeasts. They live in your tank and use the diesel as source of food. As they grow, these contaminants form sludges and slimes that can bring your engine to a screaming halt.
These “bugs” are naturally occurring microflora, they exist in the air, soil, and water around us. They enter fuel tanks with air and moisture – and are almost impossible to keep out.
Treating your fuel with either BC-250 or FT-400 will prevent them from growing and protect your fuel system.
The following list can help you determine if you have a microbial problem with your fuel.
- Had to change filters more often lately.
- Noticed any black slime on filters.
- Suddenly lost power in any of your engines.
- Had an engine stop for no apparent reason.
- Had any damage to injectors or injection pumps.
- Found water in the bottom of your tanks.
- Noticed that your fuel has turned hazy.
If you have any of the above problems with your equipment or vehicles, contact Fueltreat so that we can help you prevent it becoming a major problem.
SUREFIRE is a powerful, fast-acting cleaner that removes fuel deposits from injectors, carburettors and inlet valves. It also, lubricates the upper cylinder and protects against corrosion. Importantly, SUREFIRE will restore fuel economy and engine performance.
Add the contents of a SUREFIRE bottle to your tank just prior to filling the tank. For the best results, use most of this tank before refuelling. Use at service intervals or when the performance of your vehicle deteriorates.
We recommend that you use SUREFIRE at service intervals, or when the vehicle’s performance drops off or becomes sluggish. This can vary a bit depending on your driving. Do you do a lot of towing? Or stop-start driving? If this is the case, you may need to treat more often.
PURGE-EF is a powerful engine flushing additive that helps remove sludges and deposits from lubrication systems when changing engine oil.
Run the engine until it is at normal operating temperature. Add a bottle of PURGE-EF to the engine oil. Start then engine, and run at idle for 20 minutes. Stop the engine and allow it to sit for 30 minutes. Drain the used engine oil and refill with clean, approved oil.
Add a bottle of SUPERJET to the fuel tank and top it up. For best results, use most of this tank before refuelling. SUPERJET is suitable for all diesel vehicles, including those using biofuel blends. Use at service intervals or when your vehicle feels sluggish.
SUREBURN is a true multi-function product for industrial engines, boilers, and heat exchange systems. SUREBURN is perfect for:
- All heavy diesel and fuel oil engines
- Oil fired boilers and furnaces
- Waste oil processing plants
- Co-generation systems
To use, simply add SUREBURN to the fuel supply tank when fuelling for all engine, boiler, or co-generation needs. To clean or control deposits in heat exchangers inject Sureburn into process lines. Contact Fueltreat for specific advice on your system.
